We are now complete and have seen our latest 22′ Ynez on its way to Northern California. I hope you enjoy the show! For interior images and text.
Our client choose to have the walls paneled with a pine bead board and have it painted white to create the illusion of more space. We also installed a continuous painted pine shelf above the windows to allow for additional storage completely around the Living room area for those nicknacks and books to reside.
We designed the kitchen very similar to the original Ynez with cabinets, counter with sink, and stove on one side and the storage and W/D cabinets on the other. We used and marine oil fueled stove called an Origo which caused us to creatively hand craft the counter to allow for fuel access.
Since we had a little extra space with the longer 22′ length instead of our standard 20′ length, we were able to make the loft length 9′-6″ which allowed us to make a built in headboard w/side cabinets. Along with herself our client will be living in her tiny house with her two children, so putting an industrial looking pipe w/airline cable guardrail was a must.
We squeezed in a 27″x48″ bathtub W/metal wall panels and a flush toilet.
